Addiction is a chronic dysfunction of the brain system that involves reward, motivation, and memory. It’s about the way your body craves a substance or behavior, especially if it causes a compulsive or obsessive pursuit of “reward” and lack of concern over consequences.

The sole purpose of WayMakers is to offer opportunities and healing during the recovery process for the addict and their families in the rural, underprivileged communities of Macon and surrounding counties in Tennessee. WayMakers desires to develop leaders and entrepreneurs by breaking the cycle of addiction one life at a time; by offering help to the families of addicts, by creating a place to rebuild themselves and their relationships with others to end enabling habits; and to offer strategies to which focus on self-worth and self-care.

Prices vary depending on each program offered. These prices also vary depending on whether it is a group of individual session.

Currently, WayMakers Center does not accept insurance.

WayMakers accepts donations (with the exception of clothing) and we appreciate all people willing to give their time and talents. We will need volunteers for different activities and events, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to accept volunteers at this time. We will post times where people can volunteer in future activities.
